Corrosion is one of the most common reasons for the damage of the bag filter bag. Because the flue gas contains many Corrosive substance, and the corrosion effect is greater in the high-temperature environment, the filter bag will be damaged. PPS cloth bag

The dust removal bag can be said to be the heart of the dust collector, and the selection of the dust removal bag is very important. The dust removal bag directly affects the dust removal efficiency of the dust collector, and the design and filter material of the dust removal bag should pursue high-efficiency dust removal effect.

Corrosion of dust removal bags is often caused by three gases. We have summarized the following three gases that can cause corrosion of dust removal bags.

1. Strong oxidant

For example, when the PPS dust removal bag operates at 160 ℃ and encounters excessive oxygen content (>12%), a large amount of oxygen can attack the S bond in the PPS molecule and combine with it. The result of the reaction is that the PPS fiber becomes dark and brittle, resulting in a decrease in strength.

We will find that the surface color of PPS fiber bags exposed to sunlight will change to coffee. If left untreated for a long time, it can easily cause a decrease in fiber strength, leading to damage to the dust removal bag due to a decrease in strength. The air contains 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen by volume.

When the temperature is not high, nitrogen is very stable, but high temperatures can cause nitrogen molecular chains to break and react with oxygen to form NO and NO2. NO can be considered lightly, but NO2 is a strong oxidant and can oxidize most fibers used for filtration.

Oxidants include nitrogen oxides, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, chlorine, etc. Strengthening control over processes and equipment can reduce oxidative corrosion.

2. Acid gas

It mostly occurs in the use of high-temperature filter materials, with sulfides as the main component. If there are many acidic gases in high-temperature flue gas, it is recommended to use dust removal bags with good acid resistance.

If ordinary dust removal bags are used, acidic flue gas will corrode the fiber structure inside the bag, leading to a decrease in the strength of the bag and eventual damage. The damage marks are from the outside to the inside. Lowering the temperature can reduce the corrosion of acidic gases on dust removal bags.

Acid gases include sulfur dioxide, Sulfur trioxide, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, etc.

3. Alkaline gas

It often occurs in working conditions containing ammonia gas, with ammonia gas being the main source.

Damage and acid corrosion can reduce the corrosion of alkaline gas on dust removal bags by lowering the temperature.
