A filter cartridge is a star shaped filter cartridge formed by folding a certain length of straight filter material into folds and bonding the head and tail. The PPS bag filter cartridge has no cage bones and is easy to install.
There are many types of filter cartridges, including thin and long ones and thick and short ones. Slender filter cartridges (such as φ≤ 160, L=1-2m), with large gaps and angles between folds (such as 45 folds), few but shallow folds, and a filtering area 2-5 times larger than that of filter bags of the same diameter and length, making it easy to clean dust and effective; Suitable for filtering dust with a concentration of ≥ 15g/m, with a filtering wind speed of 0.6-1.2m/min. Coarse and short filter cartridges (such as φ 350, L=0.66m) with large diameter, short length, multiple folds (120-350 folds) and deep, small gaps between folds, and large filtration area, which is 14-35 times larger than the same diameter and length filter bag area. It is suitable for layout in places with small site area and space; However, due to the small fold angle, dust is easy to accumulate and difficult to clean. It is suitable for filtering dust with a concentration of ≤ 5g/m, and the filtering wind speed should not exceed 0.6m/min.
There are three installation methods for filter cartridge pulse dust collectors: vertical, inclined, and horizontal. The filter cartridge is installed vertically, and during pulse cleaning, dust is easy to settle into the ash hopper, resulting in good results. When installed obliquely, the filter cartridges are stacked up and down, with a compact structure and small footprint, making it easy to replace the cartridges. However, during ash cleaning, the dust from the upper filter cartridge settles on the lower filter cartridge, making it difficult to remove. Horizontal installation makes it more difficult to remove dust from the upper part of the lower filter cartridge. The inclined installation filter cartridge dust collector is suitable for non viscous, low concentration, and coarse particle dust removal in small and medium-sized dust removal systems, as well as for the renovation of some old bag dust collectors.
