Steps for selecting high-temperature resistant PPS bags and dust collectors

To choose high-quality dust removal bags and dust collectors, there are generally three steps to go through:

Firstly, understand the temperature of the flue gas to be treated: the filter bag is the core component of the bag filter. It is very important whether the selected filter material can adapt to the flue gas temperature. If the normal operating temperature of the filter material exceeds the temperature of the flue gas too much, the high cost of high-temperature filter material will increase equipment investment. If the normal operating temperature of the filter material is lower than the temperature of the flue gas, it may cause the bag to burn and cause significant economic losses. So how to choose filter media based on flue gas temperature? Filter materials are classified according to their usage temperature: room temperature filter materials below 130 ℃, medium temperature filter materials between 130 and 180 ℃, and high temperature filter materials between 180 and 280 ℃. Knowing the flue gas temperature and the usage temperature of the filter material, it is possible to select the filter material.

The second step is to understand the composition of flue gas: this includes parameters such as dust content, specific gravity, particle size, stickiness, and moisture content of the flue gas. By understanding these factors, the dust removal method of the dust collector, the post-treatment method of the filter material, and the filtration wind speed are determined. In general, pulse bag filters are used for conditions with high dust content and relatively sticky and light dust. The filtering wind speed is mostly controlled above 1.2m/min, and a few conditions are below 1m/min. Depending on the situation, high-pressure reverse blowing dust collectors and cyclone dust collectors can be used. The post-treatment methods for filter materials generally include microporous film covering, water and oil repellency, anti-static (adding conductive yarn during weaving), and easy cleaning treatment, depending on the situation.

The third step is to understand the amount of flue gas that needs to be processed: The processing air volume of the dust collector is usually the operating air volume plus the system air leakage coefficient (10%~15%). Knowing the processing air volume and filtering air speed of the dust collector, the total filtering area can be obtained through the formula S=Q/60V. Among them, S: total filtration area Q: system processing air volume V: filtration air speed.
